Headmaster Announcement (Part 2 of 2)

I am pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees has appointed Mr. Daniel Kelly to serve as Headmaster for the 2024-25 academic year.  Mr. Kelly has served on the CASPN board since 2022, and prior to that, he served as Chairman of the Board of The Society of G. K. Chesterton, the apostolate that operates the Chesterton Schools Network, of which we are a member.  

Although most recently employed as an attorney, Mr. Kelly was an educator before attending law school and taught for several years at a classical 7-12 grade school, Trinity School at River Ridge in Bloomington, Minnesota.  In addition to holding a Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law, Mr. Kelly holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Portland, obtained in association with the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (“A.C.E.”) program, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.  

Mr. Kelly worked closely with the founders of the original Chesterton Academy of the Twin Cities at the time of its founding in 2008, first as pro bono counsel, then as a member of its board, eventually serving as chairman of its board in 2014 and 2015.

Mr. Kelly presently serves on the boards for Our Lady’s Montessori School in Kansas City and Adeodatus, a nonprofit supporting the ongoing renewal of Catholic education and culture.

Mr. Kelly lives in the south metro with his wife and four children and enjoys disc golf and woodworking in his spare time.
