Why Classical Education?
The Chesterton Academy is “classical” for lots of good reasons, but goes beyond the ancient approach to education in some significant ways. As a learning community, we need to keep weaving those Greek ideals into integration with our Christian ideals, with our family cultures and crazy-busy lives, and with the realities our students face as they go out, educated, into the hostile world. Please join us as we keep working on our understanding of ‘education’ by participating in the lived reality of in-forming ourselves, together. These conversations are building up the Body of Christ and enriching the ground that nourishes our students!
Tonight, Lisa Corley will present the digest of Norms and Nobility (so that you need not read before you come!) before we launch a discussion of the book’s main ideas. Join us in the St. Philip Neri conference room in the Faustina Building at 6 p.m. You are welcome to invited friends to drop in!
